STL Sponsor Spotlight: St. Luke’s Hospital

We are so fortunate to have great local businesses, such as St. Luke’s Hospital, support our Listen to Your Mother show each and every year.  They help us to create a wonderful experience for our cast members who open up and share with us their motherhood stories as well as for the audience who get to go on this wild roller coaster ride of emotions and relate to one or more of these stories.  We laugh, we cry and then laugh all over again!

Our #1 MEGAPHONE SPONSOR is ST. LUKE’S HOSPITAL, and we are proud to host our show in their beautifully renovated auditorium of the Institute for Health Education.

As a testament to their commitment to women’s health care, St. Luke’s once again has earned the 2017 Women’s Choice Award as one of America’s Best Hospitals for Heart Care, Cancer Care, Obstetrics and Orthopedics, and as one of America’s Best Breast Centers.  This Women’s Choice Award is based on robust criteria that consider patient satisfaction, clinical excellence and what women really want when it comes to treatment and a quality hospital experience.

St. Luke’s has a big heart and has an exclusive affiliation with Cleveland Clinic, the Nation’s No. 1 Heart Hospital for the past 22 years, according to U.S. News & World Report. This will give St. Luke’s patients greater access to the latest treatments, clinical trials and second opinions with the No.1 ranking hospital’s heart program.

Their generosity to the community is well known, and their Spirit of Women is no exception. Their programs connect with the St. Louis community and empower women to take action for their health and the health of their families.  Their biggest and most popular event is the St. Luke’s Hospital Day of Dance—which is coming up this weekend, February 18!  It is the largest dance party in St. Louis, where more than 1,200 women come to learn fun ways to stay healthy with fun dance fitness demonstrations from Zumba to belly dancing, as well as music, health screenings, health information, T’ai Chi instruction and more.  New this year is smaller dance break-out sessions with classic and power yoga, Tai Chi, and more, and dance demos like Sassy Street Jazz and NIA.

This event is FREE and advance registration is required, so jump on this opportunity to get fit and have fun! The date again is February 18, from 9 am to noon at a new location, The Double Tree Hotel in Chesterfield.  To register and for a schedule of events, please go HERE to reserve your spot!

Another event not to be missed is the 2nd annual Prego Expo on September 10 at the St. Charles Convention Center. This program is designed to help expecting and new parents (and proud grandparents, family members and friends!) plan for and learn about their baby.

St. Luke’s Hospital Spirit of Women goes hand-in-hand with what we are achieving with Listen to Your Mother, St. Louis.  “Our commitment to helping women and their families improve their health takes into account all aspects of a woman’s health and wellness,” said Jan Hess, St. Luke’s Hospital Vice President.  “That’s one of the reasons we are so proud to be a sponsor for the 5th year in a row of Listen to Your Mother St. Louis, which truly supports, celebrates and honors women and the important role of motherhood.  We applaud the exceptional work the producer/directors put into it, as well as the phenomenal cast they choose each year.  We look forward to being entertained, inspired and moved by their stories once again.”
