Do you have a story of motherhood?

by jillr on December 20, 2016

The answer is yes – you do. Everyone has a story about motherhood. It may be a story about your experience as a mom. It may be a story about your own mother or the person who raised you.  It may be a story about not being a mom, wishing you were a mom or losing your mom.

So why not share that story?

Listen to Your Mother – San Antonio is busy behind the scenes and we’ll announce audition dates and times in early January.

We do have a date: Saturday, May 13th at 5:00 p.m.

We do have a venue: The Carver Community Cultural Center. We’re thrilled to be working with The Carver this year. Our 2016 show at the Tobin Center’s Carlos Alvarez Studio Theater was nearly sold out and we’re excited to have room to expand in 2017.

Your readings should be around five minutes in length when read out loud – no memorization required.

You don’t have to be a professional writer or an experienced speaker. You just have to have a story and the willingness to share it.

If you’re not sure what Listen to Your Mother is, check out the videos of our 2016 Show. If you have specific questions you can email

Check back in early January for specific information on how to sign up.

We can’t wait to hear your story of motherhood.
