Killebrew headshotANN IMIG National Director– A stay-at-home humorist, Ann began inflicting herself upon your internet with her blog Ann’s Rants in 2008. Her writing appears on numerous sites including McSweeney’s Internet Tendency and College Humor. Babble named her one of their 2012 Top 100 Mom Bloggers and their 2011 funniest Top 50 Twitter Mom, BlogHer honored her as a 2010-2013 Voice Of The Year, and her 7 and 10 year old boys deemed her The Most Annoying Boss of Everything. Ann founded the live-reading series Listen To Your Mother, spurring a national movement giving Motherhood a Microphone.

Returning for her second year as Co-producer/director of LTYM, Margaret is a website developer and freelance writer. She authors the humor blog, Nanny Goats in Panties, and is the published author of Sticky Readers: How to Attract a Loyal Blog Audience by Writing More Better. Margaret’s writing has appeared in literary magazines, newspapers, and a video game. She is also the Chair of Communications for the nonprofit organization, Boldly Me, and a co-founder of Sacramento Bloggers.

Also happily returning for her second year as co-producer/director of LTYM, Nichole is a Sacramento area family, child and lifestyle photographer, editor and writer. She serves as the Managing Editor for Savvy Sassy Moms, freelances for various publications, including Mamalode, SheKnows and AllParenting, maintains (rather sporadically these days) her personal blog, in these small moments and is one of the co-founders of Sacramento Bloggers.

 

 

Beatrice Hogg, Listen to your Mother SacramentoBeatrice Hogg was born in Greensboro, NC, and raised in the coal-mining town of Lawrence, PA. She has a BA in Social Work from the University of Pittsburgh and a MFA in Creative Writing from Antioch University Los Angeles. Her writing has appeared in the Sacramento Bee, Sacramento N&R, the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette, and in anthologies such as Life’s Spices from Seasoned Sistahs and Robot Hearts: Twisted & True Tales of Seeking Love in the Digital Age. She is the author of the novel Three Chords One Song. She has facilitated writing workshops at St. John’s Shelter Program for Women and Children in Sacramento. She also writes on her blog, Marvellaland.

 

 

Kneece Camp SasserKneece Camp Sasser is a proud aunt to her little brother’s three precious sons, who sadly live in Africa. She is a surrogate mother to her 17 high school ESL students and is a mentor in the Big Brothers Big Sisters program. She participates in numerous book clubs, film clubs, writing groups, and yoga sessions. When she has free time, she practices the French she learned while growing up in the southwest corner of Louisiana. Her weekends include rock climbing, camping, and hiking with her husband and dog. She also loves to read memoirs and is working on a memoir of her own.

Since retiring she has found writing and painting to be new outlets for her creativity. She is the mother of two amazing adult daughters, one a missionary based in Australia and the other a social worker who works with veterans with PTSD here in Sacramento.

Her two previous books, The Nonrunner’s Marathon Guide for Women and The Noncyclist’s Guide to the Century and Other Road Races, were published by Seal Press, have topped Amazon’s best-seller lists and have been featured by countless TV and print media sources. Her uniquely sarcastic yet inspiring tone has entertained and guided an enthusiastic core of readers towards their various ridiculous athletic goals. Dawn’s most recent book The Sh!t No One Tells You is a funny and informational book about the joys of parenthood. Dawn lives in Sacramento with her family.

 

 

 

Stacy RobinsonStacy Robinson is an avid writer, reader, and examiner of daily life who is enjoying the exciting ride of balancing marriage and motherhood with a burgeoning writing career. Having pursued Bachelors and Masters degrees in Communication and Marketing, Stacy is, and always has been, fascinated with the relationships between members of the human race, making “people watching” one of her all-time favorite hobbies. She lives in Roseville and adores the three men in her life with utter abandon. Stacy aspires to one rule in living her life – to be honest and genuine in everything she does, whether it be her marriage, her parenting or her writing.

Gregory ShafferGregory Shaffer was born in Vallejo, CA, at the age of zero to his parents. His career has included a stint as a bail bondsmen in his twenties (to fund graduate school). He received a BA in Business Administration and a MA in Communications from CSU Sacramento. He owns his own business, Compulsion to Create, and is also employed by Nevada County. Gregory enjoys traveling with his lovely wife, Sheri, including taking a year off to travel in Southeast Asia and the U.S. Among Gregory’s interests are fly fishing, camping, kayaking, bike treks, writing, and a yearly trip to the Nevada desert.

 

 

 

Jeanne AlongiJeanne Alongi has been, among other things, a florist’s assistant, a pizza delivery driver, an emergency medical technician, a bank teller, and a writer of terrible poetry. She has a habit of not following the recipe, spends most of July glued to the Tour de France, and is developing decent campfire lighting skills. She once sat across from Francis Crick at dinner and had Christopher Reeve hold the door open for her – not on the same evening, of course. She lives in Sacramento with her 10 year-old daughter and her 10 year-old dog.

 

 

 

Tiffany ReeseTiffany Reese worked as a Makeup Artist to put herself through college to study Fashion Design. She met a cute curly haired drummer named Michael and got married at an awkwardly young age for someone who isn’t religious. One Christmas night, she drank too much vodka and about 10.5 months later their son Jude was born. In 2011 the little family welcomed Ruby to their asylum. Tiffany has since launched lookieboo.com, where you’ll find daily outfit inspiration for tiny fashionistas and other random vents. Tiffany’s spirit animal is a pink glittery bow and one day she hopes to lay in bed for an entire day without feeling guilty.

 

 

 

Wendy HautemanWendy Hauteman is a Sr. Marketing Executive with over 18 years of retail marketing, advertising, creative development and copywriting experience in multiple product categories. Originally from Indiana, she is a graduate of Purdue University and holds a Masters of Business Administration degree with a Marketing concentration from Xavier University. A working mother, Wendy currently lives here in Sacramento with her husband Jeff and their two daughters, McKenna (10) and Ally (8). When Wendy is not working, she enjoys traveling with her family, running, reading, writing, and all things creative.

 

 

 

Michelle LamarcaMichelle Lamarca is a writer, mother, wife and blogger living in California. A woman about town with a penchant for witty banter, she spends her days trapped in a techy job and her nights blogging about her proclivity for adventurous happenstance on The Life of a Batty Broad. She is also the co-founder of School of Thoughts, an organization dedicated to motivating, inspiring, and inciting leaders toward excellence. In her spare time she is writing a book on overcoming obstacles and another book on the humorous side of parenting. Michelle enjoys reading, running, hiking, traveling, and pretending she is very organized.

 

 

 

Rachel VoorheesRachel Voorhees is a Court of Masters Certified Sommelier and is the Social Media Manager for Rodney Strong Vineyards and Davis Bynum Wines in Healdsburg, CA. Previously, Rachel was a freelance writer, food and wine columnist for BevMo! and the Social Media coordinator for Wine.com. She is passionate about food and wine pairings and loves spending time in the kitchen. She also loves educating people about wine and is finally putting her Masters of Education to good use. She is the mother of two insanely adorable children who she hopes will one day appreciate all of her hard work in the kitchen, and of course, a good bottle of wine.

 

 

Bobbi GregoryBobbi Gregory is a Life Coach for her business, The Clarity Lab. She is also a writer, wife, and mom to two very spunky little girls – not necessarily in that order. One part Type A (i.e. lover of lists and checking the boxes), and one part dreamer, Bobbi loves running, yoga, laughing, and having impromptu dance parties in the family room with her girls. She has a tendency to think too much, not sleep enough, and genuinely love with all she has. She is honored to be a part of this year’s Listen To Your Mother cast, giving a spotlight to the hardest job in the world.
