If you’re a person who enjoys laughing, then you’re gonna love today’s cast spotlight! Kathy is going to bring down the house with her hilarious and heartwarming performance on May 6th. You got your ticket for the show, right?!

Kathryn Wucher Martz was born in Pittsburgh 9 months after her Dad returned from serving in the army in Korea. Being the daughter of a local pediatrician posed many challenges: her dad had seen most of her friends naked! She inherited his gene for wanting to help people; growing up between two brothers, Kathy has pretty much been negotiating her entire life, so it only makes sense that she chose a career in the insurance industry where she has been helping people recover from tragedy for the last 20+ years. She knows how blessed she is to have an extended family through Crossroads United Methodist Church where she volunteers for the Kidzone. The very proud Mother of 2 amazing teenage daughters who have so much wisdom, perseverance, and purpose, Kathy is an avid reader who only reads on the days she eats.

Q: How did you discover LTYM?
A: I discovered LTYM  last year as my friend Lindsey Smith took me for my birthday. It was an amazing evening and I was totally captivated by it. We walked out of there and she told me I should audition next year.  I laughed. Now? I am filled with gratitude for this opportunity to personally meet all of these incredibly talented women.

Q: How do you want to be remembered?
A: As the lady who waves at strangers and does donuts in cul-de-sacs.

Q: What do you wish most for your children?
A: My daughters are incredible people and I wish for them the power to know their own mind and to follow their heart and dreams. The world is definitely a better place with my girls in it!  They are truly God’s creation.

Q: What is your favorite restaurant in da ‘burgh?
A: My favorite restaurant is Sapparo’s  or as my youngest named it, “Cook in front of you.”

Q: What do you like most about Pittsburgh?
A: What I like most about Pittsburgh is the kindness of the people.   I like to smile and wave to strangers.  Pittsburghers always smile and wave back.

Q: If you were mayor for a day, what law would you create?
A: If I were mayor for a day I would re-institute Sunday as the day of rest and no restaurants or stores would be open.

Her May 6th Listen to Your Mother Pittsburgh performance is sure to have you howling, and maybe dabbing your eyes at the wistful nostalgia with which she captures a sweetly hilarious OH NO SHE DIDN’T! circumstance. Get your tickets today!
