meet rose marieRose Marie B. lives in Oklahoma City and she’s a self-appointed cheerleader for the great state of Oklahoma. She and her husband enjoy supporting local artists, restaurants and events and discovering the latest happenings via Rose’s love affair with Twitter. She’s a big fan of the Thunder, a ZooFriends member and obsessive sunset iphotographer. She loves birds, butterflies and elephants and secretly hopes she’s the reason Oklahoma City’s nickname became “The Big Friendly.”

Q: How did you learn about Listen To Your Mother?
A: The Oklahoma Women Bloggers

Q: What was your reaction to getting cast in the show?
A: I hate to admit it, but I was unsure if my story was compelling enough to make the cut. I was delighted and honored to be chosen.

Q: What are three words that describe you?
A: Curious, Resilient, Playful

Q: Tell us two fun facts about you?
A: I can make a super cool raindrop sound with my mouth and I wanted to be a jockey or a zookeeper when I grew up.

Q: What was your favorite vacation as a kid?
A: A 30 day loop of the western United States. Grand Canyon, San Francisco, Mormon Tabernacle, Disneyland, Las Vegas, Pike’s Peak—those days are some of my best memories. I just recently discovered that it was a trip that my Mother planned for her kids, not my more outgoing adventurous Dad, like I had always assumed.

Q: What are some of your favorite moments of motherhood?
A: Skydiving with my son as a surprise gift for his high school graduation and coaching my daughter twice, when she delivered her children. I was a proud member of a birth team that also included her stepmom and mother-in-law.

Don’t miss this year’s Listen To Your Mother OKC show! We’ll be at the OKC Zoo Education Center Auditorum on Sunday, April 30 at 3pm sharing stories of motherhood once again. Tickets are on sale now!
