Once again, the back room of the IAO Gallery was the stage for our live auditions. You might think, once you’ve done a thing once, the second time is no big deal, right?
Wrong. So wrong.
The IAO Gallery is a place for art and poetry and sharing truth and what a wonderful blessing of truth we received through our auditions. We heard stories were planned out long in advance, rewritten and second-guessed, and tapped out last-minute. The stories may have been captured in a variety of ways, but they brought us that common thread we seek, the one that pulls heartstrings and piques curiosity, the one that moves us to tears and laughter, applause and spontaneous hugs.
We laughed, we cried, and ultimately… we cast our final Oklahoma City Listen To Your Mother Show. And it seems fitting that one of the first to bring the show to Oklahoma City was on hand to help us out.
We listened. Every story left its mark.
And then we made the hardest choices we’ve ever had to make, standing back and allowing the stories to gel together into a narrative and then, like magic…
We had our cast.
We are so happy to announce the cast and crew of the Listen To Your Mother Oklahoma City 2017 show, featuring a blend of faces familiar and new.
