SANDY RUSTIN North Jersey Director, Producer– Sandy Rustin is an actress, playwright, and mom. Her sketch comedy musical about parenthood, Rated P (for parenthood) (written with Dan Lipton & David Rossmer), opened to critical acclaim Off-Broadway at the Westside Theatre in 2012 and will is now playing at regional theatres around the country. Rated P is currently in development with ABC Studios for television. Her one-act comedy, Fireworks, recently won the 7th annual Nor’Eastern Playwriting competition, and her newest full length play, The Cottage, was selected as part of Midtown Direct Rep‘s 2013 Theatre in the Loft Reading Series.
Sandy appears regularly at The Upright Citizen’s Brigade in “Gravid Water” (named “Best Improv Show” by Time Out NY). She serves as Co-Artistic Director of Midtown Direct Rep, blogs at Rated P for Parenthood, works regularly as an audiobook narrator and voice over artist, and makes a delicious gluten free/dairy free lasagna that her children will actually eat. Sandy will appear on Comedy Central’s new show this spring, The Amy Schumer Show. She is also currently developing material with Nickelodeon’s new network, Nick Mom.
DEBORAH GOLDSTEIN, North Jersey Assistant Director, Producer— Deborah is a writer, blogger and publisher for VillageQ.com, a community site for LGBTQ families and allies. She publishes a medley of miscellany on her humor blog Peaches & Coconuts, identified by Huffington Post as one of the 7 Favorites For Post 50 Women. At times, Deborah steps out from behind the screen to bring her words to life at spoken word events such as Edgy Suburban Moms, Funny Pages and Staten Island’s annual arts festival, Art by The Ferry.
