We are beyond grateful for the partnership we’ve received from our local show sponsor, the Franciscan Spirituality Center. This welcoming space is our home base during auditions and rehearsals, and the Center’s staff and volunteers are among the best to work with!

Don’t just take our word for it, though. Here’s what FSC had to share themselves!

Everyone has a story. Here at the Franciscan Spirituality Center, we want to hear yours.

As the only spirituality center in the Coulee Region, we have the unique privilege and mission of being a sacred place of simplicity and hospitality for those seeking spiritual renewal, healing and deeper self-awareness – open to everyone, anywhere on their search for meaning and wholeness. Though we are rooted in the Gospels, we welcome people of all faiths and backgrounds through our doors.

We invite you to share your sacred stories with one of our experienced spiritual directors, who will listen to you deeply, non-judgmentally and confidentially. These trusted companions journey with you as you discover your inner wisdom and peace. Whether you meet individually or within a group setting, FSC spiritual directors receive your story with compassion and patience.

If your story is best expressed through creativity, we offer several opportunities throughout the year for nature journaling, poetry and prose writing, intuitive painting and iconography workshops. Each Monday on our blog, we also publish our Reflections from the Center – short, insightful writings from various voices in the community – which are also emailed to more than 2,000 subscribers.

For stories shared through movement, we offer yoga and tai chi classes, and our monthly Drumming Circle. For stories shared through silence, we offer several meditation opportunities and have available three private and cozy hermitages tucked away on the edge of woodland on Solitude Ridge in nearby St. Joseph.

So many of us yearn to be heard. Through the sharing of our stories, we connect with another. We experience better dialogue, understanding and mutual respect. As our stories come to life, we grow. We’ve seen this through our programs, contemplative dialogue and listening sessions, and retreats.

As important as it is to listen to one another, it’s vital that we listen to ourselves. Often, the message we ignore is that we need to slow down, rest and recharge – that our mind-body-spirit connection is worth our attention. To address this need, we have organized a community presentation and weekend retreat with author and sanctuary garden designer Terry Hershey this April.

“Rest. Renew. Live.” will take place from 8:30-11:30 a.m. Friday, April 28, at English Lutheran Church. Join Terry for a practical and humorous invitation to replenish in a too-hurried, distracted and busy world. “Finding Your Sanctuary” will take place from 5:30 p.m. Friday, April 28, through 5 p.m. Saturday, April 29, at the FSC. During this overnight retreat, we’ll learn to create a space for grace in our life and explore how we can be a sanctuary to others. Registration details for both events are at www.FSCenter.org.

Our own story started 32 years ago, when the Franciscan Sisters of Perpetual Adoration remodeled the east end of the St. Convent building to establish the FSC in response to a growing spiritual hunger. Our mission is just as vital today. As one of our guests recently shared with us: “The FSC provides opportunities for deeper insights into the wonder of God’s creation.”

Today, we have a dedicated staff of 12, who offer unparalleled Franciscan hospitality and design a rich variety of experiences and opportunities for spiritual growth and transformation. We offer several healing ministries at no charge to participants and have a generous scholarship policy so that no one is turned away for inability to pay. We have eight bright and comfortable meeting rooms, featuring exquisite woodwork and historic charm, available to rent to groups, clubs and businesses.

If you haven’t visited us yet, we invite you to see what so many others have come to love about the FSC. We are at 920 Market Street, or check us out at www.FSCenter.org. When you do stop by, allow for some time to linger in our Sophia Bookstore, with a cup of coffee or tea on us. This little gem is packed with thought-provoking books from the most gifted spiritual writers and thinkers today, plus lovely cards, handmade earrings and soaps, beautiful scarves and many other Fair Trade gift items.

Come as you are! All are welcome.
