It’s Almost Showtime!

by Kate on April 28, 2014

Last Saturday night, Stephanie and I had the pleasure of attending the first ever Listen to Your Mother Baltimore show. Words can’t describe the experience of sitting in the audience and bearing witness to 15 incredible stories about motherhood. At the heart of each was a strong message of hope and courage and community. Everyone in that room felt like they were part of something bigger, and my only regret is that I forgot to bring tissues.

In one week, we get to sit on the other side of the microphone and watch as the DC cast brings their own magic to the stage. If you haven’t already purchased your tickets, do it now! We can personally say that attending a Listen to Your Mother production is unlike anything you have ever experienced. You’ll laugh, you’ll cry, and you’ll carry the stories you hear with you long after the show.

Now that we’ve agreed that you CANNOT miss this…

If you are driving to the theater, remember that they have FREE parking. The entrance is on 20th Street (just off of Jefferson Davis Hwy/Route 1). It’s easy to miss, so here is a picture:

See those little gold plaques? One of them will tell you which side to enter for Synetic Theater parking. Synetic’s address is 1800 South Bell Street, Arlington, VA 22202.

And of course, if you are taking the metro, The Crystal City stop on the Blue/Yellow Line is right next to the theater!

Planning to buy your ticket at the show? Try to arrive early to avoid lines. Online tickets can be purchased HERE.

And after the show, we would love for you to come celebrate with us a few blocks away at Jaleo Crystal City.

They’ll have happy hour specials and it should be easy to get a table if you decide to grab a meal with friends. We’ve done this two years in a row and it’s a BLAST (much better than going straight home to figure out what to make for dinner).

We are so proud of this year’s show and can’t wait for you to see it!

Thank you guys so much for coming to our show! It was so great to see you and talk to you afterwards. While I have loved attending the DC show the past two years I will not be there this year, only because I am flying down to Charleston, SC to see their inaugural LTYM show which is being directed my friend Angie. Good luck on Sun! I’m sure it will be fantastic.

The wonderful support that the LTYM DC family showed to our LTYM Baltimore show was amazing! Thank you guys so much and we can’t wait to see your show on Sunday, 5/4!

I even look pregnant in my forearms. That was a great and inspiring night!

So glad you were at our show – sorry I didn’t get to meet both of you! I will be much more relaxed on Sunday when I’m in the audience watching your show – can’t wait!
