Meet the Cast | Lorenzo Pringle

by Anna Hartman on April 12, 2016

We were so fortunate to have Lorenzo “Ron” Pringle audition for this year’s show. His piece–a poem written to his mother–is so moving. You don’t want to miss it!

Over the course of 16 years, Ron has built a successful career in Non-Profit Management. Through his budget control responsibilities and extensive experience in development and fundraising, he has helped to develop budget and financial planning activities which helped streamline processes to enhance overall productivity and customer satisfaction.

Ron joined the Second Harvest Food Bank of Southeast North Carolina (SHFB SENC) in April of 2012 as the Operations Manager after serving over 12 years at the Lowcountry Food Bank in Charleston, South Carolina. Starting out as a Warehouse Associate he worked many diverse positions within the Food Bank including Agency Relations Director and Director of Operations. It was here he achieved many accolades, assisted in the development of new partnerships on local and national levels, and established innovative ways of providing services to those underserved. In November 2013, he was named the Food Bank Director of the SHFB of SENC. In May of 2015, he returned to Charleston and accepted the role of Executive Director for Tricounty Family Ministries. Prior to his work within the non-profit sector he served his country during Desert Storm as a Chaplain’s Assistant in the United States Air Force. As a motivational speaker and an advocate for the war on poverty, he is very involved in many local initiatives including regular presentations to civic groups, businesses and other non-profits. In his spare time Ron enjoys spending time with his wife and children, gardening, cooking, and playing golf.
