Auditions for Listen To Your Mother: Charleston are complete! This past weekend, Jennifer, Becca and I listened to amazing and powerful stories from three dozen people, and we couldn’t have done it without the Center for Women.

The Center for Women generously opened the doors of its downtown office to give us a comfortable, roomy and convenient space to hold auditions. They were also nice and accommodating when I accidentally locked the key inside after the first day. Oops.

Before we announce the cast, we wanted to take a moment to tell you about the Center for Women and its mission to help the women of South Carolina make lasting connections and be successful.

The Center for Women’s top priority is to educate and advocate, helping women in South Carolina have economic success and to become leaders in their professional, community and personal lives. Operating as a 501(c)3 non-profit, the C4W offers a mix of educational and networking opportunities, training and development workshops, mentoring, programs, services and special events.

The C4W focuses on three different areas: Awareness and Advocacy, Financial Management and Entrepreneurship, and Leadership and Development.┬áPlus, if you’re an entrepreneur or looking for help with your small business, The South Carolina Women’s Business Center is a C4W program that provides one-on-one business counseling, training workshops and networking opportunities.
