We are thrilled to announce that Listen To Your Mother is returning to Boston for a fourth and final year.  2017 will be the final year of Listen To Your Mother shows, and Boston is thrilled to be one of the 33 participating cities.  We had a fantastic show in 2016 and can’t wait to return to the stage next spring to give motherhood a microphone one last time.

This year brings a change to our show’s leadership as we say goodbye and a huge thank you to Jessica Woodbury for three years of her amazing vision and dedication to this project.  I (Divya) co-directed and produced the 2016 show with Jessica and am sad to see her move on to the next chapter in her life– and also thrilled about the opportunities that will surely come her way!  I will be this year’s show’s Director and Producer, and I am so thrilled to bring on 2016 cast members Abra Mims and Rachel Hess as Assistant Director/Producers.  I am really excited about working with these amazing women in this capacity, and I can’t wait to get to work planning our 2017 show.  Abra and Rachel bring a rich and varied set of skills and experiences, and the three of us make a fantastic team.  Can you tell that I’m excited??

This will be my third year with Listen To Your Mother (I was a cast member in 2015 before joining Jessica in a leadership role in 2016), and participating in this project has been a real honor and such a humbling experience for me.  Truth telling and speaking honestly about our struggles are courageous, radical acts, and they are at the core of what Listen To Your Mother is about.  Bringing together a group of folks to speak our truths could not be a more powerful and rewarding experience, and I am so thankful that I get the chance to do it again in 2017 with a new cast and leadership team.

Please stay tuned for updates about our show date and location, as well as audition announcements.  Follow @ltymshow on Twitter for updates!

And if you’re in the Boston area, start thinking about a story about motherhood that you want to share!
