“Some days mom knows who I am. Some days…” Long ago, Ami Hendrickson bought a sweater and cross-stitched a floral design on it as a gift for her mother. Over time — despite age and dementia — it became a powerful symbol of the love between a mother and daughter that cannot be forgotten. “Even when she doesn’t know who I am, she knows I made it for her.”
