GraduateLobbyLTYM’s national team is on their way to Madison for our first-ever #DreamLTYM16 leadership retreat, and sponsor Graduate Madison is hosting our stay!! As a Madison native, it’s a rare occasion for me to check out new hotels, and I’m so looking forward to gathering in Graduate Madison’s cozy, eclectic, and distinctly Midwestern ambiance. We already plan to eat in both their on-site restaurants, The Madison Blind, and Portage Pi.

Property features two unique food and beverage concepts: Portage π and The Madison Blind
Portage π, the hotel’s café located off the lobby, features coffee, pressed juices, salads and sandwiches, as well as sweet and savory hand pies

I asked my local Facebook friends for restaurant recommendations for our retreat weekend; “Where are your favorite quiet(ish) places to catch up with dear friends over yummy drinks and food?” The Madison Blind got raves from a friend who had no idea that Graduate Madison would be sponsoring our stay. I’m sold already, and what a perfect spot to showcase beautiful downtown Madison for out-of-towners!

The Madison Blind, the rooftop hotel and bar, offers a menu of shareable snacks, small, and large plates utilizing locally sourced ingredients from area farms, local beers and handcrafted cocktails.

More about Graduate Madison

GraduateGallery

From Chicago-based AJ Capital Partners, Graduate is a design- and lifestyle-driven hotel collection that targets some of the most dynamic university towns across America while celebrating each respective town’s culture and history
Opened in May, 2015

72-room hotel located alongside Lake Mendota on historic Langdon Street, adjacent to the popular State Street dining and entertainment area and two blocks from the University of Wisconsin-Madison’s campus

Design is both modern and rustic – a delightful blending of the great outdoors and the warmth and familiarity of home. Intricate special touches and close attention to detail make this hotel stand out among others. Rustic elements such as chandeliers made from canoes and oars, a front desk inspired by a vintage trophy case and classic artwork depicting outdoor life are balanced by deep navy blue hardwood floors, fabric walls and traditional custom furniture.

Thank you to Graduate Madison for generously hosting our team this weekend. We’ll share photos and updates from our stay. Follow along: Graduate Madison on Facebook and Graduate Hotels on Instagram.
