by Stephanie on September 24, 2015

Ilene Marshall reads “Lunch With Mom” at LTYM: Pittsburgh’s 2015 show.

“As a 12-year-old I severely lacked insight, the ability to recognize mom for the woman she was, much less appreciate her — I mean, she was mom.

While her “cool” status is severely threatened, she does survive the humiliation and finds herself longing for that time with her mom years later. Why must we grow up and out of childhood in order to realize the immeasurable depths of a mother’s love?
