The only thing more exciting for an LTYM director/producer is becoming a second-time LTYM director/producer. The vast majority of us had little-to-no idea what we had in store for us when we put up our first shows, and the second-time around is so much easier. Of course we all feel like we have big shoes to fill–especially when you imagine and plan for Dr. Scholls and end up with gorgeous Diane von Furstenberg pumps–which is exactly what Stephanie Precourt managed to do with her inagural LTYM: NW Indiana show.
So we suffer a little fear of beginner’s luck, but then auditions come–with all the stories and readers–and bowl you over once again and you realize that no end exists to these stories of motherhood. Everyone has one, and some want to share them with you and before their community in celebration of this most vital, most excruciatingly joyful/painful/unintentionally hilarious work (which Stephanie catalogs soooo beautifully with her own words and photos on her blog).
So it is with great admiration for and gratitude to the wonderful and talented Stephanie Precourt, that I welcome her back for Northwest Indiana’s SECOND ANNUAL LTYM!
Stephanie Precourt
Stephanie Precourt is a stay at home Mom and freelance writer. Growing up she had great plans to be on Broadway, in the movies, or directing children’s theatre. Now she finds herself managing every type of drama, tragedy, and comedy within her little home in Valparaiso, Indiana. She has three small sons and a baby girl, so life is quite exciting and unpredictable- just without her name in lights.
