LTYM Welcomes Intern Kendall Ross!

by Ann on December 5, 2011

Living in a town that is home to a world-class university has its advantages. For example, last month I had the honor and privilege of interviewing some fantastic candidates from The University of Wisconsin for the first ever LTYM student internship. I had so much fun spending the morning chatting and learning about a terrifically ambitious and interesting pool of applicants. Seriously, if you need some inspiration, go hang out with some college juniors and seniors for a couple hours–so refreshing to escape from the jadedness that so easily pervades the daily grind of adulthood.

Anyway, Kendall Ross stood out.

Kendall is a junior at the University of Wisconsin Madison majoring in Communication Arts. She loves vanilla lattes, writing, drawing, sports, her family, friends and anything pop culture–however, not necessarily in that order. In her few short years she has had the pleasure of experiencing the entertainment industry as a child model, a cast member in a PBS television show, and as an intern at a popular radio station in her hometown. She aspires to work in the television industry, more specifically in casting and development. When she finds time between classes, working, interning, studying and watching her TV shows, she tries to have a social life, but that doesn’t always work out. And while she does not have any children, she does have a mother who she admires and loves very much (especially knowing what she and her brother have put her through. It wasn’t all rosy and pretty).

Kendall will assist LTYM National with administrative,  blogging and social media, communication, writing and other tasks, as well as play an active role in the production of the 3rd annual LTYM:Madison show. Welcome Kendall!
