Listen To Your Mother began with one show of local writers reading in Madison on Mother’s Day 2010. Bloggers across the country began asking to host LTYM in their home towns, and in 2011 we went national with shows in Austin, Los Angeles, Madison, NW Indiana, and Spokane.
For 2012, in keeping with the goal to give LTYM to as many communities as possible, we’re doubling the number of shows to TEN!!
The words “excited” “humbled” and even “mind-boggled” do not suffice, as I introduce to you a stunning array of towns and cities and the amazing, dynamic and talented directors and producers from all different regions of the U.S.
Proudly presenting the 10 cities hosting LISTEN TO YOUR MOTHER shows in celebration of Mother’s Day 2012:
AUSTIN: Co-Director/Producers Wendi Aarons and Jennifer Sutton
CHICAGO: Co-Director/Producers Tracey Becker and Melisa Wells
D.C.: Director Stephanie Dulli, Producer Kate Coveny Hood
MADISON: National Director, Ann Imig

AND…

This is so exciting! Congratulations, Ann (and Amy, Holly, Varda, Wendi, Dresden and all the other LTYM peeps I know). So very happy that you’re coming to NY. xxxooo
Me tooooo!
My cousin is moving just outside DC. What a great excuse to visit her come early spring.
East of the Ole Miss. You are bi-coastal.
Fancy that!
WOW!! So much fantastic here. The new logo, the new redesign, THANK YOU TO BLOGHER for renewing sponsorship, the new cities, the producers/directors involved: this is getting more and more exciting every year.
Love this, and look forward to all the new pieces we’ll be graced with.
So happy.
Thank you for all your support and for helping spread the word!
Ann, so honored to be any part of your amazing achievements. Congrats! It’s going to be incredible.
Steph
Thanks to YOU Steph!
Hillbillies! Bring your show to teh Hillbillies, AHHHH.
SO much congrats on the expansion and growth. You are terrific, and your show is incredible and inspired.
NW Arkansas isn’t deep enough, isn’t it? LTYM:BACKWOODS!!
I can’t wait until you visit. Let me know what I can do to help in D.C. I’ll start by bringing my spinster contingent.
Excited for you doesn’t begin to describe it. I want to be you when I grow up. Much love and luck and some Mayan year ass-kicking power from me to you.
I would be so bummed if you weren’t Laurie anymore. WHO WOULD UNDERSTAND ME THEN??
Thank you.
And the only way you’re a spinster is the DJ kind.
Would love to attend the Spokane show ladies!
Please do! Me too for that matter.
We would absolutely LOVE it! (Better yet, audition!)
So exciting! Even more so because there is one near me directed by my fabulous friend Kim!
Yippeeeee!
So amazing! Can you please come to Canada? Will you be at Mom 2.0?
I won’t be at Mom 2.0 , dang it! I agree LTYM: Canada needs to happen.
SOOOOO EXCITED. Thanks for including me in this fantastic community. I’ll “do you proud”! :)
No Melisa, thank YOU. I know you will.
I’m so thrilled that this show will be my first one back since having babies. I cannot imagine a better show to work on. I remember reading and then watching it through Stephanie Precourt’s blog and thinking to myself “I HAVE to do that”
Thank you so much for the opportunity, DC will do you proud!
I love that. And that is exactly what Steph said to me after seeing the very first show online.
So thrilled that you’re a part of this!
I can hardly believe I get to be a part of this. All my brain is allowing me to respond with at this point is — squeee!
Me too. Except instead of “squeee” my brain says “yiiiiiii!”
Ann, I love it all! The look, the list, the sponsorship, the shows, the you…
I love you Heather. Thank you!
I am so excited, I am jumping up and down (but it’s so hard to type this way!) Thrilled to be part of the NYC team and awestruck by the massive talent gathered around the nation for this. We are in such amazing company! A thousand thank yous to Ann for being the founder and fairy godmother to all this awesome.
Thank you Varda, for helping give me the confidence to move forward with NYC. I love your passion and go-get’em-ness (?)
This is a wonderful thing. I am very proud of you, Ann.
Thanks, Molly!
I’m just squealing with joy. Which seems unprofessional perhaps? But still allowed, right? Eeeeeekkkkk ;-) Love you. Love your vision and your energy. Love these incredible womaen.
You. YOU are also responsible for this in so many ways. Mwah! Love you Stacey!
Woohooooooo! Way to go, LTYM!! (Love the new logo too!)
Thanks for being part of all this, Liz!
Hot damn! I’m so happy for you and proud of you at the same time!!
This is fabulous and so are you – CONGRATULATIONS and CHEERS to you!
XOXO
Anna
Congrats! Amazing news and so glad more people will be able to take part in this awesome show. Thanks Ann for making it happen!
I am still so honored and have a huge smile on my face. Thanks, Ann, for bringing this show to life and to NYC!
Amazing! We will miss you, however, here in LA LA land. Congrats Ann, much deserved. xoxoxoxoxoxo
I’m so excited, too! Kinda freaking out, though… :)
How can we get this in Atlanta? Seriously.
So happy for you, excited for you, wowed by what this has become. What an amazing achievement for all involved. You are AWESOME, Ann.
The site looks incredible!!! And I am so excited that I will finally be able to attend the show in 2012. Congratulations, Ann!!
DETROIT AREA!! bring it to us!!
I loved this show when I saw it in LA last year! I’m sooooooo disappointed that it won’t be back this year.
I’m going to cry now.
Did I really never comment on this? What is wrong with me??
Must have been thrown off by all the multitasking involved in applying for this and trying to spread Bieber Fever on behalf of Margaret See…
But I think that Postage Rates 2011, Camera Review and Weight Loss Diet said it best: I too “always like new things coming up” here, I “learned much more than anticipated in this article,” and find the ongoing story of LYTM “greatly riveting.”
I couldn’t be more excited and honored to be included in this (somewhat intimidating) lineup of talented people.
Thank you, thank you, thank you!
